FIRST FIELD TRIP

Michayla had her first school field trip the other day. They went to see a production of The Jungle Book at Puppetworks in Brooklyn. They rode a bus to the theatre, saw the show, then had lunch from McDonalds.

Michayla didn't like the bus. Was entranced by the show. Then promptly threw up. And that was before she had the lunch from McDonalds. We think it was her review of the show.

DOWN ON THE FARM

For Easter we went to NJ to visit both sets of parents. We stopped by our favorite farm/orchard to see some animals and eat the amazing apple cider doughnuts.

Mmmm...doughnuts.

THE WEARING O' THE GREEN

Like true Bay Ridgers, we celebrated St. Patrick's Day like everyone else here...one week later. Come on...you don't expect us to do all of our drinking in one weekend, do you?

Well the parade was wonderful. Lots of bagpipes, lots of kilts, a tractor and the Senior Center van.

Oh, and lots of dancing.

THE SNOWY DAY

We all made it to Brooklyn for the big snow storm of the year. It was Michayla's first snow. She loved it. Then promptly fell asleep. That's our girl!

After the Chinese New Year, Michayla and Nicki went back to NYC. Mark and Ebbets finished the packing, saw the movers off, and then jumped in the car for their cross country trip. You can read more about their trip at www.mynycserenade.

YEAR OF THE BOAR

Once again the usual suspects got together to celebrate the Chinese New Year. A great time was had by all.

DANCE FEVER

About 10 minutes into the Chinese New Year, Michayla turned to Nicki and said, "Wanna dance."

She was a maniac on the floor. A maniac! Our favorite picture is the one of her in the background enjoying her own personal rave.

2nd BIRTHDAY TAKE TWO

Nicki started her new job Jan.2 Mark and Michayla came back to LA to finish packing. But on Jan. 17, Mark and Michayla celebrated Michayla's birthday...again.
