2ND HAIRCUT
Michayla went to the Yellow Balloon for her 2nd haircut. But more importantly, Nicki get's to do fun stuff with Michayla's hair.
DAD'S BIRTHDAY
All dressed up for a night out to celebrate Mark's birthday. We went to a French restaurant, where Michayla ate a ton of French food. Go figure.
LUNAR NEW YEAR
We celebrated the Lunar New Year with Adam and Tina at the Huntington Gardens. We have nothing witty to say. Here are the pictures.
MY HUNGRY VALENTINE
We celebrated Valentine's Day by going to the Queen Mary with our friends Adam and Tina for the Chili Cheese Fry Eating Competition. How romantic. The event was an official IFOCE (International Federation Of Competitive Eating) contest and it did not let us down. Making a surprise appearance was Sonya The Black Widow Thomas, the #1 eater in the US and the #2 eater in the world. She went head to head with rookie sensation Joey Chestnut. It was a barn burner, with Sonya edging out Joey by one ounce. Sonya ate 8 pounds 2 ounces, and Joey ate 8 pounds 1 ounce. You haven't lived until you watch someone eat 8 pounds of chili cheese fries in 10 minutes.

GUNG HAY FAT CHOY!
We barely had time to recover when it was time for the Chinese New Year. A year ago we barely knew each other and none of us had daughters. This year, we're all fast friends and only Adam and Tina are waiting to go to China (They're going very very soon!) 
If you'll notice, everyone is looking off to the left, except for Miss Chinatown, who is obviously mesmorized by Mark's devilish good looks.
With a nod to our high school years, the boys get together and talk about girls. Only now the girls are our daughters.
Tina practices being a mom. Soon. Very soon.
OH YEAH!
The week long bash continued through the weekend with a picnic in the park. As you can see, Michayla can't party like she used to and had to crawl to the car.

Mark can't help striking a Jewish and Star Trek pose at the same time. Mr. Nimoy's a member of our Temple don't you know.

WHAT'S IN A NAME?
Three days after Michayla's birthday we celebrated her naming at our synagogue. Rabbi Michelle said a beautiful blessing and we felt extra blessed because so many of our friends were there to share this event with us.

Look, Michayla, you got a card and I wonder what's in here? No, Michayla, don't eat the paper. What's in here? Michayla, don't eat the... A doll!! Michayla...oh never mind.
THEY SAY IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY!
On January 17, Michayla celebrated her first birthday! And as you can see, hats make any occassion festive.
